Tom Cain is the owner of Hidden Places Home Inspections and has been working as a home inspector since 2011, completing thousands of comprehensive inspection services over the course of his career so far. His experience serving on Arizona’s Enforcement Advisory Committee for home inspections sets him apart as an expert in the industry. This role requires him to closely review reports in question and have a complete understanding of the Standards of Practice (SOP) that home inspectors must follow. When he isn’t working, Tom values the quality time he gets to spend with his wife, their three kids, and their four grandchildren.

Background in Home Improvement and Real Estate
Before becoming a licensed home inspector, Tom worked in both the home improvement and real estate industries. He owned a home improvement business for ten years, and he uses this experience to be a home inspector who not only finds the issues in the home, but also offers suggestions for how to address them.
Additionally, Tom worked as a licensed real estate agent for 18 years. The real estate transaction can seem like an overwhelming and confusing process, especially for first-time home buyers. Tom’s experience allows him to help his clients understand their transaction from all sides so they can make the best possible decisions for themselves and their investment.
Sharing Everything He Knows with His Clients
Tom’s favorite part of being a home inspector is that he gets to interact with new people every day, using his own knowledge and experience to guide them through an important and exciting time in their lives. He happily answers any questions thrown his way both during and after the inspection and hopes to build lasting and trusting relationships with the clients he gets to work with.
